June 26, 2017 Phillipsburg History Program

Did You Know????

Join us for a look at a history that you may not know. Our little old town of Phillipsburg is rich with history we pass every day and don’t see.

Do you know:

  • how Green’s Bridge got its name?
  • why Phillipsburg does not have a city water tank?
  • that Phillipsburg had twice the population of Easton, in 1752?
  • that there are dozens of houses in the Phillipsburg-area built before 1800?

These and many more fascinating historical secrets will be revealed on June 26, at Phillipsburg Free Public Library by our presenter, Gil Greene a local historian and genealogist. Join us to find out what you don’t know.

For the first time we will have two sessions on the same day. Choose the one that works best for you and sign up:

  • afternoon session will be from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM and
  • evening session will be from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Both sessions are FREE. To register contact the library at 908-454-3712 or www.pburglib.org.
