March 14th – Women’s History Month Movie

The 2018 National Theme for Women’s History Month is: NEVERTHELESS SHE PERSISTED: Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women To honor this theme, we will have two showings of the hit movie Hidden Figures – an awe inspiring & incredible true story about three women at NASA whose tale embraces this 2018 theme. February 28 – Black History Month Movie

In honor of Black History Month 2018, Friends will present, on Wednesday evening, February 28th from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm the film “Men of Honor” starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Robert De Niro. February 17th – Black History Month Disney Movie

In honor of Black History Month 2018, Friends will present, on Saturday, February 17th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, a Wonderful World of Disney TV movie, Selma, Lord, Selma about a young girl who encounters Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and becomes inspired to participate in the Civil Rights Movement. This American film is based on true events that happened in March 1965, in Selma, Alabama.
