While every dollar counts these days, every dollar has always counted to the Friends of the Phillipsburg Free Public Library.

When times are tough, people turn to their libraries. Families bring their children for a cost-free outing. Seniors come for educational programs. Job seekers use the library’s career and resume information.

And remember, books, movies, magazines as well as internet and wireless services are FREE

The Friends of PFPL is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our library. We believe in the importance of libraries as the social and intellectual centers of our communities.

The Friends contribute to the library in many ways. On an ongoing basis we:

• Raise funds to enhance library services and programs
• Financially support programs for children
• Sponsor the annual Spring Used Book Sale at the Library
• Sponsor educational and cultural enrichment programs
• Sponsor the Summer Reading Programs for children and adults
• Encourage community involvement and promote literacy
• Represent the library at community events
