Year End Reflections 2013

As 2013 draws to a close, I would like to reflect on this past year and to set some goals for the upcoming year.  Through our efforts to support the Phillipsburg Free Public Library and its mission, Friends of PFPL achieved some wonderful milestones: Sponsored a series of events and programs that won the National Friends of Libraries Week Award in 2012. Increased donations to our annual Spring Book Sale by 25%, which funded all 3 Summer Reading programs. Sponsored a 1 year subscription of the print edition of BookPage for library patrons. Coordinated and hosted the Steiner Learning Series of educational seminars for over 100 senior citizens and adults. Sponsored a 1 year MuseumPass for library patrons. Hosted the Money$mart Financial Literacy Series with the cooperation of local financial institutions. Distributed more than 200 children’s books … Read entire article »
